In terms of power generation, we brought in the first high efficiency combined emergency power station in 2001 for Abuja. The 22 MW Emergency Power Station in Abuja guaranteed the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) the supply of 15MW. While in operation, the power station successfully supplied uninterrupted power to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (formerly National Electric Power Authority) to serve a dedicated distribution network within Abuja and its environs.
We seek highly organised professionals for the underlisted vacant position based at our Aba Integrated Power Plant (Aba IPP):
1.) Control Technician

Qualifications Required
- Diploma or its equivalent in Engineering
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working as ICT technician in power plant or similar industry
- Experience of calibration, installation and troubleshooting of field instrumentation unsupervised
- Must be familiar with Standard Maintenance Practice
2.) Electrical Technician

Job Description
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant electrical equipment as required supporting plant operation.
- Be able to prepare CMs, PMs, PDMs and CBMs for all electrical equipments, like transformers, Generators, Motors etc.
- Have the ability to understand process electrical / wire logics and control loop systems.
- Be hands on with the CMMS in respect to the work related to his section.
- Must be familiar with Standard Maintenance Practices
- Work with team to maintain and electrical spare parts inventory.
- Assist in maintaining print files, vendor files and the equipment maintenance record. Help develop CMMS.
- Assist in requisitioning parts and supplies. Be part of plant requisition orders when required by warehouse or stores.
- Maintain electrical parts of the plant mobile equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe shop and plant environment. Assist with housekeeping daily.
- Train and develop other people in maintenance skills.
- Well versed with LOTO / JSA as per the need of the job.
Job Requirement
- Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent..
- 4 years working experience as an Electrical Technician in similar industry
- Experience of HV, MV switchgears, substations maintenance and large and small motors and plant electrical equipment trouble shooting is required.
3.) I&C Technician

Job Description
- Reportable to I&C Maintenance Engineer.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant electrical & instrumentation equipment as required supporting plant operation.
- Have the ability to understand process logics and control loop systems.
- Work with team to maintain and control spare parts inventory.
- Assist in maintaining print files, vendor files and the equipment maintenance record. Help develop CMMS.
Job Qualification
- Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent..
- 4 years working experience as an I&C Technician in similar industry
- Experience of plant operational requirement, DCS, Mark V/VI , PLCs and field instruments maintenance and troubleshooting experience is required
- Must be familiar with Standard Maintenance Practices
4.) Mechanical Technician

Job Description
- Reportable to Mechanical Maint. Engineer.
- Must be familiar with Standard Maintenance Practices.
- Experience of install / uninstall, assembly/disassembly, maintenance of Pumps, Piping, large rotating equipment, balancing of rotating equipment, chillers etc.
- Versed with the alignment of rotating equipments.
- Be able to read, write and implement SOPs and procedures. Be able to write reports.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant mechanical equipment as required to support plant operation.
Job Requirement
- Diploma or Mechanical Technician Certificate or its equivalent. Qualification criteria can be relaxed for experienced applicants who have working experience in multinational organizations in this region.
- 4 years’ experience working as Mechanical Technician in Power Plant or similar industry. LM-6000 experience shall be an added advantage
