Audit Officer at Ajoke Group

Ajoke Group is a distribution company that deals with the supply of major FMCG's products nationwide.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Audit Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in executing internal audit plans across key business areas, including manufacturing, inventory, sales, and distribution
• Conduct routine audits and spot checks on warehouse operations, stock levels, and retail/field activities
• Perform financial and operational audits to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies
• Review inventory controls, including stock counts, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, or potential fraud, and escalate findings to the Audit Manager
• Prepare audit working papers and draft reports, ensuring proper documentation of findings and recommendations
• Support compliance checks with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and standard operating procedures
• Monitor and follow up on implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely resolution of issues
• Assist in investigations related to discrepancies, theft, or operational irregularities
• Collaborate with teams across finance, supply chain, and sales to improve processes and strengthen controls
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date audit records and documentation
• Support external audit processes by providing required information and documentation
• Use basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) to identify trends, and risk areas
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an OND / HND qualification with 2 - 3 years experience.
