We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Home Manager / Vocational Trainer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

• The Home Manager / Vocational Trainer plays a key role in the daily operations of the residential centre.
• This is a live-in position, requiring the successful candidate to stay on-site for 7 consecutive weeks, followed by 1 week of leave.
• The role combines participant care, vocational training, and household management, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities
Residential & Centre Management:

• Oversee daily operations of the home, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and structure
• Support the development of healthy routines and a positive living environment

Participant Supervision & Mentorship:

• Supervise, guide, and mentor young residents
• Build respectful, trust-based relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
• Support behavioural development and conflict resolution

Training & Education:

• Deliver basic lessons in Mathematics and English
• Provide vocational training in a chosen skill area (e.g., pastry, crafts, or other practical skills)

Planning & Operations:

• Develop and manage daily and weekly schedules
• Ensure effective implementation of programs and activities

Administration & Support:

• Maintain records (attendance, progress, incident reports)
• Manage household supplies and resources efficiently

Qualifications & Requirements

• Practical skills in any vocational area
• Ability to teach basic Mathematics and English
• Experience working with or supporting young people (mentoring, teaching, or supervision)
• Strong organisational and resource management skills
• Effective communication and conflict resolution abilities
• High level of responsibility, reliability, and emotional awareness
• Willingness to commit to the role for at least one year

Work Structure

• Residential role: 7 weeks on-site, 1 week off
• Willingness to live and work within the centre environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: N100,000 - N200,000 monthly
• Health insurance coverage
• Shared accommodation provided
• Two meals per day
• Travel allowance during leave periods.
