Job Summary
- We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Assistant to assist in the production of high-quality animal health products by ensuring compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and safety regulation in manufacturing operations of our veterinary production facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and operation of production equipment and machinery.
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw materials in accordance with approved batch records.
- Maintain proper documentation of production activities, including logs and reports.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor production processes and report any abnormalities or deviations.
- Ensure hygiene standard are maintained in production processes.
- Support packaging and labeling of finished veterinary products.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking raw materials and supplies.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
Requirements
- HND/Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- Must have completed NYSC
- Minimum one year experience
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industry would be an added advantage.
- Must basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good record-keeping and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work shifts when required.
