EcoSusPro is a Nigerian-led, impact-driven organization at the forefront of agricultural development, project implementation, and rural enterprise transformation. We deliver specialist expertise to bridge the gap between time-honored farming traditions and modern agricultural technologies. Through innovative, sustainable approaches that prioritize environmental stewardship and community empowerment, we are transforming Nigeria’s agricultural landscape. Our mission is to create replicable, scalable models of rural development that enhance food security, drive enterprise growth, and preserve the environment for generations to come.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: General Manager – Rice Farm and Processing Operations

Location: Delta

The Role

  • This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the entire operation.
  • You will lead both the farm and the rice mill, ensuring that production, processing, quality, and delivery are all aligned and performing.
  • You will be expected to take ownership, make decisions, solve problems, and build a system that works consistently and efficiently.
  • This role requires someone who is comfortable both thinking strategically and operating on the ground.

What You Will Be Responsible For
You will lead the full operation, including:

  • Establishing and managing large-scale rice production from land development through to harvest.
  • Overseeing the setup and efficient operation of the rice mill, including drying, processing, and packaging.
  • Supervising all civil and structural engineering works to ensure compliance with designs, specifications, and timelines.
  • Ensuring strong coordination between farm production and processing capacity
  • Building and managing a capable and disciplined team across the field and processing operations.
  • Putting in place clear systems for planning, tracking, and performance management
  • Driving productivity, cost efficiency, and overall operational performance.
  • Implementing quality management systems aligned with ISO standards and NAFDAC requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
  • Supporting training programmes and developing a pipeline of capable farmers and operators.
  • Engaging with communities, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Who This Role Is For
We are looking for a leader who understands how to build and run operations, not just manage them on paper. You should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing agricultural operations, agro-processing systems, or integrated value chain activities.
  • Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering measurable results in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Experience in supervising civil and structural engineering works, ensuring compliance with designs, specifications, and timelines.
  • Strong practical understanding of production systems, operational planning, and execution discipline.
  • Experience in establishing and implementing structured operational systems, including quality management frameworks, ISO-aligned processes, and regulatory compliance such as NAFDAC.
  • Clear ability to make sound decisions, take ownership, and consistently deliver outcomes
Candidates should possess a degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced qualifications will be considered an advantage.
  • Relevant Professional certifications are highly desirable, including those related to Total Quality Management, ISO standards, food safety systems such as HACCP or ISO 22000, and project or operations management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.
  • Equivalent practical experience combined with strong leadership capability will also be given full consideration.
  • Experience in rice production or processing is highly desirable. However, more important is the ability to lead effectively, build structured systems, and drive execution across the full operation. We strongly encourage applications from qualified women and diverse candidates. We are also open to highly trained and high-potential young professionals who can demonstrate strong leadership ability, practical competence, and the drive to deliver.
  • If you have the capability and mindset to lead, we are interested in hearing from you.

Salary
N750,000 - N1,000,000 monthly.

What You Will Gain:

  • An attractive and competitive remuneration package
  • The opportunity to lead a high-impact, large-scale agricultural operation
  • Real responsibility and influence over how the project is built and scaled
  • A platform to deliver measurable results and build a lasting legacy
  • This role is for someone who wants to build something real. It requires discipline, leadership, and the ability to deliver. If you are ready to take on that responsibility, we encourage you to apply.
