Job Title: Hospital Healthcare - Ward Assistant

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will assist nurses and doctors in supporting patients and administratively while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily care needs such as mobility, hygiene, feeding, and comfort.
• Support nurses and doctors during examinations, procedures, and ward rounds
• Maintain cleanliness of patient areas, beds, and clinical equipment
• Assist with basic documentation.
• Ensure infection prevention and control protocols are strictly followed.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and report concerns to supervising staff.
• Support inventory control of medical supplies where required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Technical School certification in Healthcare Aide / Assistance.
• Community health or primary healthcare clinic experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of patient care, hygiene, and infection control is required; as well as ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Must be compassionate, patient-focused, and professional in attitude.
• Must be physically fit and able to work shifts, including weekends if required. Should be domiciled in Lagos.
