Job Title: Content Intern
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Assist the content team in creating written content, including blog posts, newsletters, social media copy, and marketing collateral.
- Support video content creation, including scripting, basic editing, and motion graphics for social and digital campaigns.
- Support with localizing content for different regions (Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya), ensuring relevance and consistency with Duplo’s brand voice.
- Conduct research on fintech trends, payments, and business finance topics to support content development.
- Assist in managing content calendars and ensuring timely publication across channels.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to produce visuals that complement written content.
- Support the tracking of engagement metrics and contribute insights to improve content performance.
- Support ad-hoc content needs for campaigns, events, and regional activations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic skills in content creation tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe Premiere, or similar).
- Interest in fintech, B2B marketing, and African business ecosystems.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Portfolio of writing or video projects (can include school projects or personal work) is a plus.
