Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (Financial Consulting)

Role Overview
- Our client, a Tier 2 accounting and advisory firm supporting Africa’s fast-growing startups and SMEs across fintech, energy, logistics, manufacturing, and software, is seeking a strategic and execution-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO).
- This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, building scalable systems and governance frameworks, and establishing the structure that enables Partners to focus on business growth and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of client engagements, including onboarding, scoping, and execution
- Design and implement firm-wide governance frameworks, processes, SOPs, and performance standards
- Ensure high-quality service delivery, effective risk management, and a strong client experience, with clear escalation protocols
- Drive commercial performance by managing engagement economics, billing, work-in-progress (WIP), and margins
- Lead team performance through KPIs, workforce planning, capability development, and retention strategies
- Champion the adoption of operational tools, reporting dashboards, and internal communication systems to improve efficiency and accountability
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in professional services, consulting, or similarly complex service environments
- Proven experience building and scaling operational structures within consulting or advisory firms is highly desirable
- Strong business and financial acumen, with demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct authority
- An accounting qualification is an advantage, but not required

Salary
N2,000,000 monthly.
