Job Title: Health Advisor

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• A health advisor is a professional who acts as a guide, triaging, educating, or supporting individuals regarding their health, often focusing on care navigation, disease prevention, and well-being.
• They analyze patient needs, provide information on managing health conditions, and signpost them to appropriate services, frequently utilizing clinical decision support systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities and Types

• Health Advisors (Non-Clinical/Clinical): Act as the first point of contact, handling calls, assessing symptoms using a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS), and directing patients to the correct care.
• Public Health Advisors (Field Level): Conduct contact tracing, interview people exposed to infectious diseases, and provide information to prevent further spread.
• Occupational Health Advisors: Focus on employee wellness, conducting risk assessments, managing health records, and offering advice to keep employees safe.
• Medical/Scientific Advisors: Offer expert advice in pharmaceutical settings, reviewing materials, and supporting clinical trials.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Communication: Ability to explain technical medical information in simple terms and demonstrate empathy.
• Assessment & Triage: Utilizing structured protocols to determine the urgency of care needed.
• Analytical Skills: Evaluating patient data to recommend appropriate resources.
• Confidentiality: Ensuring all personal, health, and clinical information is kept secure.

Salary
N150,000 - N500,000 per month.
