Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and people-oriented HR / Operations Manager to lead our team and drive daily operations.
- The HR / Operations Manager will oversee staff management, ensure smooth day-to-day café operations, and maintain high standards in service delivery, compliance, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily café operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and excellent customer service
- Recruit, onboard, and train staff across all departments (kitchen, service, barista, etc.)
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and staff handbook
- Manage and oversee staff schedules, attendance, and shift rotations
- Supervise employee performance, conduct appraisals, and implement disciplinary procedures where necessary
- Foster a positive work environment and strong team culture
- Handle employee relations issues, grievances, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, health, and safety regulations
- Monitor and enforce hygiene, food safety, and operational standards
- Work closely with procurement and kitchen teams to ensure seamless operations
- Track staff productivity and implement strategies to improve efficiency
- Oversee payroll coordination, leave management, and staff records
- Develop and implement staff training and development programs
- Manage inventory oversight in collaboration with relevant teams
- Prepare operational and HR reports for management review
- Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls
- Support business growth initiatives and new outlet setup (when applicable).
Requirements
- Minimum of HND / BSc Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fields
- 3 plus years proven experience in HR, operations, or managerial role (preferably in hospitality or food service)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Preferred Qualities:
- Experience managing a café, restaurant, or quick service outlet
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and emotional intelligence
- Hands-on approach and strong decision-making ability.
Salary
N500,000 - N700,000 monthly.
