Job Title: HR / Operations Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and people-oriented HR / Operations Manager to lead our team and drive daily operations.
  • The HR / Operations Manager will oversee staff management, ensure smooth day-to-day café operations, and maintain high standards in service delivery, compliance, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily café operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and excellent customer service
  • Recruit, onboard, and train staff across all departments (kitchen, service, barista, etc.)
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and staff handbook
  • Manage and oversee staff schedules, attendance, and shift rotations
  • Supervise employee performance, conduct appraisals, and implement disciplinary procedures where necessary
  • Foster a positive work environment and strong team culture
  • Handle employee relations issues, grievances, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health, and safety regulations
  • Monitor and enforce hygiene, food safety, and operational standards
  • Work closely with procurement and kitchen teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Track staff productivity and implement strategies to improve efficiency
  • Oversee payroll coordination, leave management, and staff records
  • Develop and implement staff training and development programs
  • Manage inventory oversight in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Prepare operational and HR reports for management review
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls
  • Support business growth initiatives and new outlet setup (when applicable).

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND / BSc Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fields
  • 3 plus years proven experience in HR, operations, or managerial role (preferably in hospitality or food service)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Good knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Experience managing a café, restaurant, or quick service outlet
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and emotional intelligence
  • Hands-on approach and strong decision-making ability.

Salary
N500,000 - N700,000 monthly.
