Stockgap Fuels Limited - We are a leading oil and gas company operating in Nigeria’s downstream sector with head office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. To meet the growing demand of Nigeria’s Market, Stockgap Fuels Limited is expanding its LPG business by investing on additional storage and cylinder filling facility in 4 strategic locations spanning major regions of the country - Lagos/South-West, South-South/South-East, North-Central/North-West and North-East regions respectively.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: LPG Operator

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • To carry out daily LPG terminal operations task under the direction of the terminal manager, to implement LPG loading, line-up and stock taking operations effectively.
  • To also carry out cargo receipt operations such as odorizing, decanting, gasification and vapour recovery in accordance with the company’s HSE procedures.

Core Responsibilties

  • Operate and monitor Terminal’s distributed control system.
  • Execute cargo transfers according to: loading / discharge plans, operations and the company’s HSE Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Execute Terminal daily stock reconciliation, transfer reconciliation and month end inventories.
  • Operation of Propane vaporizer equipment. Monitor gas feed to utility customer ensuring correct delivery temperature and pressure to gas turbines. Correct and adjust delivery temperature and pressure as required by customer.
  • Operation of boilers and / or external steam feed to ensure continuous steam supply for vaporization process.
  • Conducts routine pump, compressor, pipeline, flare, safety equipment checks.
  • Make minor repairs, adjustment and calibration to Terminal equipment. Assist Maintenance Engineers when required.
  • Routine inspections and testing of terminal fire-fighting pumps and detection equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.Eng. / HND or its equivalent in any related Engineering discipline.
  • 1 - 3 years’ work experience in engineering, oil and gas or a comparable industry
  • Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
  • Good communication
  • Creative initiative taker
  • Ability to mentor, train and build relationships
  • Positive attitude towards Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management.

Salary
N200,000 - N500,000 monthly.
