Job Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Reporting Analyst to join our finance team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and delivering accurate financial reports to support decision-making.
- This role involves working with large datasets, ensuring data accuracy, and providing insights to improve financial performance and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform financial analysis and variance reporting to support management decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Maintain general ledger integrity through regular reconciliations and reviews.
- Prepare and file statutory tax returns, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT, in line with regulatory timelines.
- Ensure accurate tax computation, documentation, and remittance to relevant authorities.
- Support tax audits, queries, and reconciliations with tax authorities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory reporting.
- Support statutory and external audits by providing schedules, reports, and explanations.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with cash flow management and working capital analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of financial and tax data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and financial reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
- Experience with Oracle, SAGE, is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Tax experience and Audit Firm experience are Added Advantage
- Excellent use of MS Office Suite
- Excellent Knowledge of Financial Systems / Programs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
