We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Geography Teacher

Location: Area 1, Garki,  Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Encourage high standards in all aspects of school life, particularly in student progress
• Contribute to the effective and efficient running of the school
• Promote a school culture that is positive, purposeful, and professional
• Support and motivate students, teachers, and other school employees
• Encourage consultation, review, and continuous improvement

Teaching and Learning Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of all students and the syllabus being taught
• Help students develop High Performance Learning skills in line with the school’s values and ethos
• Ensure the classroom is a stimulating environment that facilitates learning
• Generate enthusiasm for the subject and inspire students to achieve their full potential
• Liaise with the Head of Department and Learning Support for students with special educational needs
• Work with the Form Tutor and Head of House where students experience pastoral difficulties
• Promote high standards of behaviour by encouraging a positive and proactive approach to study
• Build productive relationships with students
• Set homework according to policy, aligned with student ability and workload
• Promote high standards of organisation
• Maintain punctuality for lessons
• Promote high standards in the use of English as the common language and support English for Academic Progress
• Provide high-quality, accurate, and constructive feedback to parents during Parents’ Evenings, reports, and other communications
• Assess, record, and monitor student progress according to faculty guidelines
• Maintain teaching materials and resources as required.
