Job Title: Computer Science Teacher

Job Summary

• A Secondary Computer Science Teacher instructs students in computing principles, programming (Python, Java), and technology, typically preparing them for IGCSE/GCSE, A-Levels, or AP exams.
• Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, maintaining lab equipment, assessing progress, and fostering technical skills in AI or robotics. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a teaching license (QTS) are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Teach programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and computer hardware/software concepts.
• Lesson Planning: Develop engaging, comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects to provide constructive feedback.
• Extracurricular Engagement: Lead coding clubs, robotics teams, or other technology-related extracurricular activities.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, productive classroom environment and ensure classroom equipment is well-maintained.
• Technology Integration: Stay updated on industry trends (e.g., cybersecurity, AI) and integrate them into the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Education.
• Certification: Teaching certification or license for secondary education.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching computer science at the high school level is typically required.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or HTML/CSS.
