Job Description

  • The POS Sales Officer (Agency Banking) is responsible for onboarding and managing agents, driving the distribution of POS terminals, and increasing transaction volumes within assigned territories.
  • The role focuses on expanding the agency banking network, supporting agents, and ensuring consistent usage of POS devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new agency banking agents (merchants, retailers, and small business owners).
  • Promote and sell POS terminals to prospective agents within assigned locations.
  • Train agents on the proper use of POS devices and agency banking services.
  • Ensure active usage of POS terminals by agents to drive transaction volumes.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor agent performance and provide support.
  • Resolve agent complaints and escalate technical or operational issues when necessary.
  • Maintain strong relationships with agents to ensure retention and business growth.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales and transaction targets.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market feedback to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, KYC requirements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND / HND / B.Sc. in any discipline.
  • Previous experience in sales, agency banking, fintech, or POS-related roles is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Good knowledge of the local market and territory.
  • Basic understanding of financial services and digital payments.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
