Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Responsibilities
- Post daily accounting entries based on transactions of the company
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Prepare monthly cashflows in accordance with the budgets
- Prepare financial statements and produce a budget according to schedule
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Coordinate and manage external audits to ensure compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields along with Formal Finance or Accountancy qualifications/certifications (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc.).
- Professional fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
- Several years оf experience in an accounting/finance function, ideally within a training/educational business environment.
- Experience working in a matrix organization.
- functional reporting and partnering with stakeholders.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills to manage internal stakeholders and end users.
- Adaptable personality and technical skills, detail oriented and analytical thinking, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (mainly Microsoft Excel).
- Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or have an exemption certificate.
- A valid and up to date National Identity Card/NIMC slip is required upon commencement of this role.
