We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Account

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Head of Account will lead the accounting department, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, oversee statutory compliance, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Company Income Tax, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies
  • Monitor budgets, manage costs, and provide financial forecasts
  • Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Coordinate with other departments on financial planning and reporting
  • Provide strategic financial advice to management for decision-making
  • Ensure effective cash flow management and treasury functions
  • Implement accounting software and automation solutions for efficiency

Qualifications & Requirements

  • BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 5 years relevant accounting experience in managerial role.
  • ICAN/ACCA) is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and auditing practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Must Reside In Abuja
