Job Title: National Sales Manager / National Coordinator

Location: Nigeria (National Coverage)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Managing Director

Job Summary

  • The National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving nationwide sales growth, market expansion, and brand visibility for the company’s wine portfolio.
  • The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing regional sales teams and distributors, and ensuring achievement of revenue targets across all channels.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand distribution channels.
  • Drive penetration in key segments (retail, HORECA – Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés).
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.

Distribution & Channel Management:

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors and key accounts nationwide.
  • Ensure optimal product availability and visibility across all regions.
  • Negotiate trade terms, pricing, and promotional activities with partners.
  • Oversee stock movement and minimize out-of-stock situations.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Supervise and coordinate regional sales teams and sales representatives.
  • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and provide coaching and support.
  • Conduct regular field visits and performance reviews.
  • Ensure alignment of regional activities with national objectives.

Brand Development & Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with marketing to execute brand activation campaigns, tastings, and promotions.
  • Ensure proper product positioning and brand standards across outlets.
  • Support launch of new wine products in the market.

Financial & Reporting:

  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic performance reports.
  • Track sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage trade spend and ensure cost efficiency.

Key Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in FMCG/beverage sales, preferably in wines or spirits.
  • Proven track record of managing national or regional sales operations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management ability
  • Deep understanding of distribution networks in Nigeria
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Good knowledge of wine products, trends, and customer segments (an added advantage).
