Role Overview
- The Data Analyst & Agricultural Planner will play a critical role in developing dashboards, driving analytics, and supporting agricultural planning and forecasting across the group.
- This role combines data analytics, statistical modelling, and agricultural operations planning, supporting decision-making at both operational and strategic levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage agricultural dashboards and reporting systems (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Consolidate and analyze performance KPIs across multiple subsidiaries
- Conduct statistical modelling, forecasting, and trend analysis (yield, crop performance, inputs, etc.)
- Support master agricultural planning and operations scheduling
- Provide insights to support business decisions and operational efficiency
- Build and maintain data pipelines and ensure data integrity and governance
- Support planning of inputs (fertilizer, agrochemicals, labour, etc.)
- Collaborate with field teams, GIS, R&D, and IT teams
Requirements
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, Agro-Economy, or related field
- Strong experience in data analytics, dashboarding, and reporting
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Good knowledge of SQL, databases, and data management
- Experience with Python or R is an added advantage
- Understanding of agricultural operations (oil palm, crops, plantation systems) is highly preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
