Description
- Our client is a well-established, modern wellness and physiotherapy centre in Lekki, Lagos, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, client-centred care.
- With a growing multidisciplinary team and an expanding service offering spanning physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, massage therapy, and holistic wellness programs, the organisation is at an exciting stage of its development.
- They are now seeking a skilled and values-aligned Accountant to join their operations team and help build a financially sound foundation for continued growth.
What you will do
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Oversee billing cycles, process client invoices, and coordinate insurance claims and reimbursements
- Administer payroll for clinical and administrative staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and financial forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations, healthcare sector regulations, and relevant financial standards
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed
- Maintain organised, audit-ready financial records and documentation
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and flag financial risks to management.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent (completed or in progress)
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a healthcare, clinic, or service-based environment
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial analysis
- Familiarity with VAT/tax filing, payroll processing, and financial compliance
