We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Abuja (FCT) 

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, contracts, and financial aspects of construction projects.
• The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ)
• Monitor project costs and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for construction projects
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Evaluate contractor bids and negotiate contracts
• Manage variations, claims, and final accounts
• Track project progress and provide regular financial reports
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
• Advise on cost control and value engineering strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. / HND) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in quantity surveying or cost management
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost control practices
• Ability to prepare and interpret BOQs and technical documents
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and relevant QS software
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Membership or registration with professional bodies (e.g., NIQS, RICS)
• Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with contract management and procurement processes
• Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards
