Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java or Go (Golang) and modern backend technologies.
• The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend systems, microservices, and APIs using Java (Spring Boot) or Go.
• Architect, implement, and maintain database schemas (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis).
• Integrate external APIs and third-party services securely and efficiently.
• Implement CI/CD, automated testing, and code review processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps to optimize deployments, monitoring, and scaling.
• Participate in technical design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Ensure systems meet high standards of performance, reliability, and security.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best coding practices.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) or Go (Golang).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git, unit testing frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of system security, API gateway design, and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
