Its core activities are primarily geared towards providing specialized end-to-end services for projects in ICT, Power, Healthcare, Transportation, Building Services and other utility sectors.

Commencing operations in 1991 as Philips Projects Centre, an affiliate of Philips Electronics N.V. of the Netherlands. The PPC acronym was retained after a strategic management buyout of the Dutch parent company. Thus, with this strategic buyout, the old businesses were retained, with the added advantage of the exclusive distributorship of the numerous professional Philips' products, and the provision of integrated solutions based on cutting-edge technology.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs
  • Conducting assessment studies to value an existing facility
  • Preparing, negotiating and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts
  • Advising on a range of legal and contractual requirements on construction project
  • Construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing cost management and negotiations
  • Construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing contracts administrations
  • Valuing completed work and arranging for payments
  • Provision of engineering and project management support services to ensure successful implementation of projects with all Engineering and Project Management practices and policies

Requirements

  • Qualification: Degree in Surveying, Civil engineering or any related field
  • Professional certificates in related professions
  • Project management knowledge and experience
  • Hands on experience on the job tasks required above
  • Hands on experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure
  • Understanding of engineering drawings
  • At least 4 years related experience
  • Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing services
  • Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and multi task
  • Ability to deliver tasks with very tight deadline
  • Excellent documentation & report writing skills.
