We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Male General Manager

Location: Sangotedo, Lagos

Description

• A hotel general manager (GM) is essentially the person responsible for the overall success of a hotel—both operationally and financially. Think of them as the “CEO” of the property, making sure everything runs smoothly while delivering a great guest experience.

Responsibilities 
Here’s how their role typically breaks down:
Overall Operations Management:

• The GM oversees all departments—front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, security, and more. They ensure each unit is working efficiently and meeting service standards.

Guest Experience & Satisfaction:

• They set the tone for customer service. If there’s a major guest complaint or VIP arrival, the GM often steps in to handle it personally and ensure high satisfaction levels.

Financial Performance:
A big part of the job is managing the hotel’s profitability. This includes:

• Budgeting and cost control
• Setting room rates and pricing strategies
• Monitoring revenue and expenses
• Driving occupancy and sales

Staff Leadership & Human Resources:

• The GM hires, trains, and manages department heads and staff. They build a positive work culture, handle staff issues, and ensure employees are motivated and productive.

Sales, Marketing & Business Development:

• They work with the sales team to attract guests—whether through corporate bookings, events, or partnerships. They may also represent the hotel in the community or industry events.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensuring the hotel follows legal regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies is a key responsibility.

Strategic Planning:

• The GM sets long-term goals, identifies growth opportunities, and makes decisions that position the hotel competitively in the market.

Owner & Stakeholder Relations:

• They often report to the hotel owner or corporate office, providing updates on performance and aligning operations with ownership expectations.

Salary
N200,000 - 250,000 monthly.
