We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Male Cook 

Location: Sangotedo, Lagos

Summary

• A cook is responsible for preparing food safely, efficiently, and to a consistent quality standard.
• While the exact duties vary depending on the kitchen (restaurant, hotel, cafeteria, etc.), the core role centers on turning ingredients into well-presented, tasty meals.

Responsibilties

• Food Preparation: Cooks handle the day-to-day cooking tasks—washing, cutting, seasoning, and preparing ingredients. They follow recipes or instructions from a head chef to ensure consistency.
• Cooking & Plating; They prepare dishes using different methods (grilling, frying, boiling, baking) and ensure meals are properly cooked, visually appealing, and served on time.
• Kitchen Organization: Keeping the kitchen clean and orderly is essential. This includes maintaining workstations, storing ingredients correctly, and minimizing waste.
• Following Recipes & Standards: Cooks must stick to set recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines to maintain quality and control costs.
• Food Safety & Hygiene: They follow hygiene rules to prevent contamination—proper handwashing, correct food storage, and safe cooking temperatures.
• Teamwork: Cooks work closely with other kitchen staff (chefs, kitchen assistants, servers) to ensure smooth service, especially during busy periods.
• Stock Awareness: They monitor ingredients, report shortages, and help with inventory so the kitchen doesn’t run out of essential items.
• Time Management: Working in a kitchen often means handling multiple orders at once, so cooks need to manage time well and stay calm under pressure.

Salary
N100,000 monthly.
