Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos

Role Overview

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the company’s client base, and identifying new business opportunities within the construction and design industry.
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with strong industry knowledge, capable of building partnerships and converting leads into profitable projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across commercial and institutional projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, and key industry stakeholders
  • Generate leads and convert them into signed projects aligned with company targets
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue goals
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective clients
  • Collaborate with the design, operations, and project teams to ensure alignment on project scope and client expectations
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company policies
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition within the construction, real estate, or design industry
  • Proven track record of generating leads and closing high-value deals
  • Strong understanding of the construction and design lifecycle
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships at all levels
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Salary
N500,000 - N750,000 / month.
