We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Investigation & Forensic Specialist

Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Purpose

  • The Investigation & Forensic Specialist supports the Lead, Investigation & Forensics in conducting thorough, timely, and standards-compliant investigations into fraud, process breaches, irregularities, and other escalations across the business.
  • The role ensures accurate case analysis, prepares high-quality investigation reports with actionable recommendations, and collaborates with relevant stakeholders to drive effective resolution.
  • It upholds investigative protocols, ensures follow-through on approved actions, and provides professional representation on cases referred to disciplinary panels or courts, thereby strengthening organizational compliance, integrity, and risk mitigation.

Role Accountabilities

  • Handle investigation cases relating to frauds, process breach, irregularities and all escalations to the department.
  • Ensure timely resolution of established cases and compliance with set standards.
  • Prepare quality investigation report with clear conclusions and value-adding recommendations that are implementable.
  • Review financial documents to identify inaccuracies.
  • Ensure that adequate background information is obtained on all relevant processes, procedures and policies and have been identified as integral to the investigation.
  • Ensure adequate follow-up to ensure approved recommendations are implemented within the agreed timeline.
  • Comply with audit investigation processes and procedures that guide the operation of the unit.
  • Collaborate investigation with appropriate business partners, legal department and security department.
  • Appear for the department on investigation matters referred to Disciplinary panel and the court of law
  • Manage all the investigation, ensure completion and ensure that the investigation file complies with approved Standards .
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Head of Department or Head of Unit.

Minimum Requirements

  • First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any relevant science or social science field
  • CA certification – ACA, ACCA, or CIA;
  • Post qualification experience of 6 years in energy, power, financial or manufacturing sector.
  • MUST be a chartered accountant
