Job Title: Engineering Intern / Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
Location: Iyana Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary
- The Engineering Intern supports the structural engineering team in preparing calculations, drawings, and technical documentation under the supervision of licensed engineers.
- This role is intended to provide early-career engineers with exposure to real-world engineering design, construction practices, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with structural calculations and basic engineering analysis.
- Prepare drawings and details using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Support preparation of delegated engineering calculation packages.
- Review vendor drawings and equipment submittals.
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and preliminary load calculations.
- Support project documentation, drawing organization, and engineering files.
- Participate in site visits and field observations when required.
- Assist with responding to RFIs and coordination questions from project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or currently pursuing).
- Strong understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit.
- Basic proficiency in Excel or engineering calculation tools.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
