Description
- The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of the Nigerian rice market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in driving sales growth within the agricultural commodities sector.
Roles responsibilities
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage regional sales teams across Nigeria.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution networks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutional buyers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and brand visibility.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 year's experience in sales management, with at least 5 years in rice or agricultural commodity sales in Nigeria.
- Proven success in developing and executing national sales strategies.
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s rice market, including distribution channels and consumer behaviour.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively across Nigeria.
