We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Early Years Teacher

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons based on the Early Years curriculum
  • Use play-based learning to support children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
  • Observe and assess children’s progress regularly

Child Development & Wellbeing:

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
  • Promote positive behaviour and good manners
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Identify and support children with additional learning needs

Classroom Management:

  • Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Prepare learning materials and resources in advance
  • Manage classroom routines effectively

Assessment & Reporting:

  • Monitor and document children’s development and learning progress
  • Prepare reports and provide feedback to parents
  • Maintain accurate records of observations and assessments

Parent Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers
  • Communicate regularly on children’s progress and wellbeing
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events

Safeguarding & Compliance:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of pupil information

Collaboration & Professional Development:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school development activities
  • Continuously update knowledge of early childhood education practices

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Minimum of 2–4 years teaching experience in Early Years
  • Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or similar curriculum
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Passion for working with young children
