Role Overview
- We are seeking an analytical and commercially minded Data/Analytics Specialist to join our team. You will harness data from our monitoring and observability platforms to generate insights that drive business decisions for both NCG and its clients.
- This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and client advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models using NCG's proprietary platforms and third party BI tools.
- Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from IT infrastructure, application performance, and business operations sources.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Support clients in defining KPIs and building data driven performance management frameworks.
- Develop predictive analytics models to support AIpowered operational intelligence offerings.
- Collaborate with engineering and consulting teams to embed analytics into platform workflows.
- Maintain data quality standards, governance practices, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer) is an advantage.
- 5+ years of handson experience in data analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence, with a track record of delivering insights in a commercial environment.
- Expertlevel SQL skills including window functions, CTEs, query optimisation, and working with largescale databases (PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
- Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis (pandas, NumPy, scikitlearn) and/or R.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, dbt, Spark, or AWS Glue.
- Advanced proficiency in BI and visualisation platforms: Power BI (including DAX and Power Query), Tableau, Grafana, or Kibana; ability to design selfservice analytics solutions.
- Practical experience with machine learning or statistical modelling: regression, classification, timeseries forecasting, anomaly detection — ideally applied to operational or IT performance data.
- Familiarity with AIOps concepts and experience working with infrastructure metrics, application performance telemetry, or log analytics (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk, or similar).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including data warehousing, object storage, and streaming data services.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and master data management principles.
- Strong ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
