Job Summary
- Our client, a reputable healthcare organization in Benin, Edo State, is seeking an experienced and qualified Pharmacist to join their team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting prescriptions, dispensing medications accurately, and providing professional pharmaceutical care to patients.
- The successful candidate must be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and up to date with advancements in pharmaceutical practice and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Compound and dispense medications accurately as prescribed by physicians.
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and therapeutic compatibility.
- Provide professional advice on dosage, drug interactions, side effects, and proper medication use.
- Conduct health and wellness screenings.
- Administer immunizations and provide basic medical services such as blood pressure, temperature, and blood sugar checks.
- Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards governing pharmaceutical practice.
- Manage pharmacy operations, including inventory control, removal of expired/damaged drugs, and controlled substance documentation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized pharmacy environment.
- Perform additional administrative and management duties as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D).
- 7 - 10 years of relevant experience as a Pharmacist.
- Full registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Valid and current PCN practicing license.
- Proven track record in driving growth and expanding pharmaceutical sales business.
- Proven experience in pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of dosage administration, pharmaceutical compounds, and drug brands.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Pharmacy Information Systems.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and compassion.
