P.Petrop Solutions Limited is a fast-growing generator, agricultural, and power solutions company specializing in the sales, installation, and maintenance of diesel, gas generators, and agricultural equipment for industrial, commercial, and residential clients across Nigeria.

Job Title: Head of Sales
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
- Actively contributes to the growth and profitability of P.Petrop Solutions Limited’s vision and mission by leveraging expertise in sales management, building a high performing and dynamic team, and driving revenue growth within the generator and agricultural equipment industry.
- This includes ability to exceed sales targets, manage sales pipeline, develop and execute strategic sales plans and build strong client relationships and databases.
- Act as a strategic partner to develop a portfolio of products and services aimed to best serve the machinery needs of Nigerian agro economy and power energy through expertise in market research and analysis, sales forecasting and vast product knowledge.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute sales plans by setting targets, defining sales strategies and identifying business opportunities.
- Play key role in driving PSN’s strategic product and service awareness.
- Analyze market data and customer need and trends for sales forecast and informed resources allocation.
- Manage sales pipeline by tracking leads, opportunities, and sales progress to ensure efficient closing and revenue generation.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities by staying up-to-date on industry developments and competitor strategies in identifying opportunities for growth.
Sales Execution and Reporting:
- Develop proposals and present agricultural equipment/generator solutions to potential clients, needs assessment and sales negotiation.
- Document daily market interactions with clients and competitors to inform future sales strategies.
- Report on sales activity and performance by monitoring sales metrics and providing insight to senior management on team and market performance.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, motivate and assign territory to sales team by providing guidance, coaching, and support to sales team to enhance performance and achieve targets.
- Conduct performance evaluation via feedback and support to sales team and address areas of improvement and celebrate successes.
- Work in partnership with HR to hire and train new sales team member through development and implementation of training programs to equip the team with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Collaborate with HR to cascade PSN goals and objectives into departmental then individual targets and goals to ensure each team member has clear objectives that aligns with our vision and mission statement and a road map for achieving them.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with key accounts and understand each client’s specific needs and requirements.
- Resolve issues with distributors, dealers, or other partners in a timely and effective manner.
- Continuously improving customer engagement by organizing demos, exhibition, conferences etc.
- Employ new and existing resources to ensure the needs of customers are met in a timely fashion.
- Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities by visiting both the market as well as potential and existing clients to gather intelligence.
Skills and Requirements
- Proven record of sales & marketing management and business development experience.
- Superb people skills and confidence to engage individuals from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines in clear cut communication.
- Ability to travel as required, work independently and achieve targets.
- Strategic team lead with high level of dedication.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, marketing communication, and other similar in-house applications.
- Grace, patience, empathy, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and a sense of humor are all soft skills sought by PSN for this role.
- Financial planning and solid negotiation skills to accomplish set task within the departmental budget.
- Must network and build professional relationships with a variety of distributors and dealers in the agricultural equipment and generator sector.
- Efficient organizational and active listening skills.
- Training and coaching skills are crucial for this role to build and lead a high performing sales team.
- Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
- Uphold high level of tactical thinking capability while achieving set goal within budget limit.
