First World Communities Limited - We were incorporated on 11th February, 2008 as a Nigerian private company with limited liability, to carry on the business of providing affordable housing for medium to low income earners across Nigeria and eventually Africa.

The company began with the instant success of the highly celebrated Cooperative Villas, in Badore, Lagos, which is a community of over 600 homes and considered to be one of the best of its kind in the entire West African region.

The history and heritage of FWC date back to the early 1990s when its predecessor organizations began to develop housing estates and serviced land sub-divisions across Nigeria. Up until when FWC was formed in response to increasing demand for housing in Nigeria, its promoters have succeeded in the commercial development of over [1,000] homes in Nigeria and overseas, through various business organizations. These include the much acclaimed and widely replicated Post– Service Housing Scheme for the Nigerian Army, and several housing association schemes in the United Kingdom.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The role involves market analysis, client relationship managemendeal structuring, and strategic partnerships, while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • The incumbent also collaborates cross-functionally to ensure successful project delivery from concept through completion.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive sales targets and profitability by identifying and convertingnew business opportunities.
  • Generate qualified leads, maintain a strong sales pipeline, and convert prospects into long-term clients.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including geographic and sectoral expansion.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships to improve client satisfaction and ensure repeat business.
  • Establish, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships that enhance brand visibility and market reach.
  • Track, analyze, and report monthly and quarterly revenue performance and conversion metrics.
  • Use CRM tools to monitor the sales cycle, improve conversion rates, and recommend process enhancements.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis, identify emerging trends, and contribute insights to product and strategy development.

Key Results

  • Drive sales of real estate products and secure new developmenopportunities to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with clients, investors, and partners to build a strong business pipeline.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform pricing, positioning, and business strategies.
  • Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and structure commercially viable deals in collaboration with finance and legateams.
  • Identify and evaluate new land, development, and partnership opportunities to sustain long-term growth.

Job Specifications
Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Communications, or related fields.
  • MBA or advanced degrees are a plus.

Professional Qualification:

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CBDE, HubSpot Sales, PRINCE2 are advantageous.
