We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Information Technology Security Analyst

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

• The IT Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s IT systems, networks, and data from cybersecurity threats. The role involves monitoring security tools, analyzing risks, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with established security frameworks and policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools
• Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing
• Review system and network logs for suspicious activities
• Implement and maintain security controls and best practices
• Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with IT teams to secure infrastructure and applications
• Prepare reports on security incidents and risk posture
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems
• Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection tools
• Understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management
• Basic scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is an advantage

Certifications (Preferred):

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CISSP (for experienced candidates)
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
