Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical proposals for project bids and tenders.
- Carry out project site inspections/feasibility study, write a report on findings and give recommendations.
- Carry out a pre-project site survey to develop project design and eliminate and solve anticipated challenges to project delivery.
- Review project inspection and test plan (ITP), work method statement and safety policies with the QAQC Manager.
- Prepare project schedule, Personnel Assignment plans, Equipment assignment plan, procurement plan for the completion of all work described in the Contract Agreement per the Scope of Work and Technical Requirements.
- Perform engineering calculations and design a scheme or project concept using computer-aided design (CAD)
- Prepare CAD drawings of the site layout and position for equipment to be spotted on site.
- Ensure the project complies with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Coordinate site personnel, monitor progress, prepare, and submit project reports, and maintain communication with various stakeholders to facilitate successful project completion
- Carry out parameter checks (gas testing, NDT) before commencement of operations
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Petroleum, Marine, or related discipline).
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in site operations, project execution, engineering support, or technical field operations.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications or training in project management, robotics, inspection, or QA/QC are desirable.
- Proven experience supporting project supervisors or managers on construction, inspection, or industrial project sites.
- Hands-on experience with site surveys, feasibility studies, project planning, and execution.
- Exposure to robotic operations (ROVs, NDT tools, inspection equipment) is a strong advantage.
