Job Title: Account Officer
Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Summary
- Maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (payments, receipts, invoices, expenses)
- Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and periodic reports.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlements.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in filing statutory returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger and supporting schedules.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
- Monitor and control petty cash and bank transactions.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, controls, and procedures.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, and other stakeholders on finance-related matters.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–5 years relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems)
- Experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and general ledger management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Understanding of tax regulations (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and statutory compliance
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage
- Proximity to Surulere or its environs is an added advantage.
- Available for resumption within one or two weeks.
Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 per month (Gross).
