Job Title: Junior Tax Officer

Location: Ijesha, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Tax Officer to support tax compliance, filings, and reporting activities.
• The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring the organization meets all statutory tax obligations while maintaining accurate records and supporting audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE, etc.).
• Ensure timely remittance of all statutory taxes in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain proper tax documentation and records.
• Support tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
• Reconcile tax accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with internal departments on tax-related matters.
• Assist in preparing tax reports and schedules for management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2–4 years relevant experience in tax, accounting, or finance.
• Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
• Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) or in progress is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
