Job Summary

• We are seeking a hands-on Technical Assistant Engineer (TAE) to support building construction activities and ensure proper application of Lafarge products on-site. The ideal candidate will have practical construction experience, strong knowledge of concrete works, and the ability to supervise site operations effectively within Northern Cross River.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on construction sites (casting, block work, plastering, etc.)
• Ensure proper usage and application of Lafarge products, including:
  • Elephant Cement
  • Lafarge Supaset
• Monitor concrete mix ratios and ensure quality standards are maintained
• Supervise artisans and ensure compliance with engineering specifications
• Conduct site inspections and provide progress reports
• Support quality control of materials and finished work
• Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards
• Liaise with contractors, site engineers, and project stakeholders
• Resolve on-site technical challenges efficiently.

Requirements & Qualifications

• B.Eng / HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or related field
• 1–3 years experience in building construction
• Strong understanding of:
  • Concrete works and mix ratios
  • Site supervision and execution
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Experience working with contractors and artisans
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Willingness to work in Northern Cross River terrain.
