Job Title: Finance Director

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Finance Director will lead the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring strong financial health, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.
• This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership, and driving efficiency through robust financial planning, analysis, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and long-term forecasting. Oversee the end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of financial strategies that align with business goals and support growth initiatives. Drive finance transformation through automation, digital tools, and data and business analysis to optimize efficiency.
• Present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to stakeholders.
• Manage internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., tax, audit), and mitigate financial risks.
• Manage and mentor all staff of the department ensuring productivity and efficient operations in the department.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and manage both internal and external audit processes.
• Collaborate with other departments (Client Service, Operations, Procurement, etc.) to align financial plans with organizational goals and advise senior leadership on the financial impact of business decisions and client deals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s/MSc degree in finance, accounting, or business administration. Must be a member and qualified member of ICAN, ACA, or ACCA. An MBA is also preferred.
• Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities, financial modeling skills, proficiency in the use of relevant accounting softwares (QuickBooks, Sage etc.), and excellent leadership/communication skills, Business Forecasting Skills.
