We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Counselor

Job Summary

• This is a full-time, on-site role for a Counselor at Lily Hospitals, located in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
• The Counselor will be responsible for providing mental health support and guidance, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, assessing patient needs, and developing personalized care plans.
• Other responsibilities include offering crisis intervention, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate records to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
• 1–2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and active listening
• Proficiency in counseling techniques, therapy planning, and crisis intervention skills
• Empathy, patience, and cultural competence for working with diverse populations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex mental health needs
• Must reside in Benin City, Edo state.
