Job Title: Used Car Sales Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- This role is primarily responsible for the general management of the pre-owned vehicles business, including sourcing (local purchase, import and consignment), storage, marketing and sales for reasonable profitability.
- Essentially, the role will research, develop and implement pre-owned auto sales plans.
Job Scope and Responsibilities
Business Development, Management and Reporting:
- Support the General Manager, Mobility to develop and achieve used vehicles sales business objectives
- Develop and implement annual strategic business plans for used vehicles sales operations
- Identify business opportunities by researching and analyzing existing and potential customer needs
- Liaise with GM Mobility to set sales targets and KPIs for pre-owned sales team to effectively manage sales activities
- Develop a marketing plan for attracting new customers and retaining the existing ones.
- Ensure the development and implementation of sales strategies
- Develop proposals and quotations for existing and prospective customers
- Conduct sales presentations to customers on Mandilas’ new car products
- Possess a rich bouquet of local and international sources for pre-owned automobiles
- Analyze the market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to the business
- Analyze trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve sales performance
- Develop sales team industry skills and knowledge to increase market share
- Participate in trade shows and conventions to showcase products and services
- Provide regular performance reports to GM Mobility on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new and existing products and services
Stakeholder and External Relations:
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with key account holders by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities
- Research and develop marketing programs by consulting with internal departments and external suppliers
- Organize interactive sessions for existing, prospective and potential clients to drive interaction and provide more confidence in Mandilas pre-owned mobility products and services
Customer Service:
- Design and maintain effective customer complaints handling procedures
- Design, implement and continually review the customer satisfaction system in relation to pre-owned vehicle sales
- Design appropriate customer loyalty programs, review and analyze results and make recommendations to GM Mobility as applicable
- Advise customers on available vehicle options, care and maintenance
Leadership and People Management:
- Provide strong leadership and ensure clear strategic objectives are in place.
- Develop job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
- Support the implementation and facilitation of relevant workshops and training courses
- Ensure continuous design and deployment of training curriculum for pre-owned auto sales personnel
- Effectively manage personnel within the department to reduce costs while attaining the strategic goals and objectives of the business
- Promote Mandilas core values (Integrity, Care for the future, Accountability, Reliability, Respect for people and Excellence) and a strong team culture
- Manage the day-to-day performance, learning and development of the team, including one-on-one feedback sessions and conduct effective performance appraisals
- Coach and mentor team members towards delivering outstanding pre-owned auto sales experience to customers.
Education and Experience
Education:
- Minimum of first Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or any business-related discipline.
- An MBA or other commercial or management postgraduate degrees will be an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of six (6) years mobility sales experience with proven track record of not less than three (3) years in the pre-owned space in Nigeria.
Salary
N500,000 - N750,000 / Month.
