Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Description

• We are looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team and support our laboratory operations.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in laboratory procedures and techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials for experiments and testing.
• Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
• Collect and process samples, specimens, and data for analysis, recording observations and findings accurately.
• Maintain laboratory records, logs, and documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with the development and validation of laboratory methods, procedures, and protocols.
• Conduct quality control checks and assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and problems related to laboratory equipment, procedures, and processes.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure working environment for laboratory staff and stakeholders.
• Comply with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and laboratory policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, scientists, and researchers to support research projects and studies.
• Provide technical support and assistance to laboratory staff, students, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Participate in laboratory meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory facilities and workspaces.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of work.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field; relevant laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as a laboratory technician or technologist, with a strong technical background in laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials, and proficiency in their operation and maintenance.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work, with a commitment to quality and precision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to collect, process, and analyze data accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to follow established protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines in laboratory operations.
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing changing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact professionally with laboratory staff, scientists, and stakeholders.

Salary
N150,000 - N350,000 per month.
