We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cook

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Cooks are primarily responsible for preparing and cooking food in a variety of environments and capacities.
• They may also be responsible for managing inventory and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals as per recipes or special customer requests
• Inspecting food items and ingredients for freshness and quality, discarding anything that does not meet standards
• Maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen area, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and dishes
• Presenting, garnishing and arranging the dishes
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Excellent understanding Nigerian Dishes
• Familiar with industry’s best practices.
