We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Utako, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Wagon Wheel Limited is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost planning, budget control, contract administration, and ensuring projects are delivered within approved financial limits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for new and ongoing projects.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and cost reports.
  • Manage variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
  • Work closely with procurement to source cost-effective materials and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and reconcile final accounts at project completion.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related fields
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in construction cost management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Membership of NIQS or progress toward professional certification is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
