Job Description

• We are seeking a Social Media Communications Specialist to manage public-facing communication across digital platforms.
• The role focuses on delivering clear and consistent messaging, engaging with audiences, and supporting outreach and citizen education initiatives through social media channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage public messaging across social media platforms 
• Respond to public queries and comments in a timely and professional manner 
• Develop and execute citizen education and awareness campaigns online 
• Create and publish clear, engaging content for digital audiences 
• Monitor social media engagement and public sentiment 
• Support outreach initiatives through targeted communication strategies 
• Escalate sensitive issues and manage communication during critical situations 
• Ensure consistency of messaging across all digital channels 

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field 
• Experience in public engagement, NGO, or government communication roles 
• Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools 
• Strong crisis communication and moderation skills 

Key Requirements / Expertise:

• Strong experience in social media communication and management 
• Excellent written communication and content creation skills 
• Ability to engage effectively with online communities 
• Familiarity with major social platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram) 
• Strong understanding of public communication principles 
• Ability to manage high-volume audience interaction professionally
