Description
- We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager, Electrical and Instrumentation with strong oil and gas experience to drive the execution of complex E&I projects across upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.
- The role requires deep technical expertise in electrical systems, instrumentation, and control within hazardous and high compliance environments, combined with strong project delivery capability.
- The ideal candidate will manage full project lifecycle delivery while ensuring alignment with industry standards, safety regulations, and commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end to end execution of Electrical and Instrumentation projects within oil and gas facilities
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, scope, and resource plans in line with EPC standards
- Oversee design, installation, testing, and commissioning of E&I systems including PLC, SCADA, and DCS
- Ensure compliance with international oil and gas standards such as IEC, NEC, ATEX, and ISO requirements
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and OEM vendors to ensure performance delivery and cost efficiency
- Drive HSE compliance, ensuring zero harm culture across all project sites
- Identify and manage project risks, including technical, operational, and commercial exposures
- Provide detailed project reporting and performance insights to senior leadership and clients
- Support tendering and business development processes with technical and commercial input
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 13 years’ experience in Electrical and Instrumentation within the oil and gas sector
- Proven experience managing E&I projects in upstream, midstream, or downstream operations
- Strong knowledge of hazardous area classification and explosion proof systems
- Hands on experience with control systems such as PLC, SCADA, and DCS
- Experience working within EPC project environments
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations within oil and gas operations
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capability
