Job Title: Grill Chef

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grill Chef to prepare high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant/lounge environment.
• The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of grilling techniques, meat preparation, and food safety standards while maintaining speed, consistency, and presentation.
• The Grill Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled meals according to approved recipes and standards.
• The role requires attention to detail, proper temperature control, and the ability to deliver consistent quality during peak service hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook grilled foods (meats, seafood, poultry, etc.)
• Ensure proper portion control and presentation
• Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times
• Season and marinate meats appropriately
• Maintain cleanliness of grill station and equipment
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Work closely with kitchen team to ensure timely service
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages

Requirements
Education:

• Minimum of SSCE/OND (Culinary training is an advantage)

Experience:

• 1-4 years experience as a Grill Chef or similar role
• Experience in a restaurant, lounge, or hospitality setting preferred

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends)
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Good personal hygiene and professional appearance

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques
• Understanding of meat cuts and preparation
• Temperature control and timing accuracy
• Speed and efficiency under pressure
• Attention to detail

Salary
N100,000 - N220,000 per month.
