Job Title: Light Vehicle Mechanic

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of cars, vans, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles.
• The ideal candidate will ensure vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, with experience across gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and emerging electric systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Carry out repairs and replacements on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, exhaust, cooling, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, tyre rotations, brake servicing, and general inspections.
• Test drive vehicles to confirm proper functionality after repairs.
• Supervise and coordinate junior technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE; additional automotive technical training is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, engines, and modern vehicle electronics.
• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and service manuals.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE or manufacturer-specific certifications) are a plus.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Physical stamina and a strong commitment to safety and quality work.
