Branch Manager at Buymore Supermarket

Buymore is a retail/supermarket with four branches (GRA Ikeja, Abule Egba, Isheri, & Ibafo).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Branch Manager

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch to ensure smooth and efficient running.
• Ensure the branch opens and closes as scheduled.
• Enforce compliance with all company SOPs, policies, and management directives.
• Coordinate staff duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing at all times.

Staff Management & Discipline

• Supervise all branch staff and ensure discipline, productivity, and professionalism.
• Enforce attendance, punctuality, and compliance with the attendance register.
• Ensure all absenteeism is reported to HR and approved accordingly.
• Issue preliminary reports on staff misconduct and support HR during investigations.

Sales & Customer Service:

• Drive sales performance and ensure achievement of branch targets.
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate unresolved issues where necessary.

Inventory & Loss Prevention:

• Oversee stock management, replenishment, and stock-taking exercises.
• Ensure proper documentation of damages, expiries, returns, and write-offs.
• Put controls in place to prevent theft, pilferage, and stock losses.
• Work closely with the Accountant/Inventory Officer to investigate stock variances.

Financial & Internal Control:

• Ensure strict compliance with cash handling and POS procedures.
• Review daily sales reports and ensure timely banking of funds.
• Enforce segregation of duties and internal control measures at branch level.
• Promptly report any financial irregularities or suspected fraud to Management and HR.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years experience.
